Part II, Happiness is

Happiness is watching my husband act like a five year-old at Christmas while feeding Gavin's bearded dragon, Toothless.

This vision was a gift to me by the man who is a self-proclaimed pet hater.  His philosophy, if it poops and sheds anything then it will not live in this house.

This morning, while searching for my husband, I found him quietly sitting in Gavin's room.  Toothless was on Gavin's bed while Gavin was sleeping and Jeb was crouched down to eye level with the lizard and the small cricket about to be breakfast.  He looked over his shoulder and smiled at me with that boyish grin I think he will have until the day he dies.  He turned back right as Toothless snatched that cricket and made the lovely exoskeleton crunchy sound.  Then I heard the giggle only grown men do when their inner child is surfacing.

It was a lovely moment.
