Being a mother to boys leads to observing a lot of behaviors that are foreign to me. This is going to be a hard post to be discrete about. So I think I will just say, that the other day, I found one of my boys with his hands down his pants. Every boy is fascinated with the nether regions and it goes away. But this one particular kid can still be seen doing it.
So I told him, "You know, if you keep doing that you are going to grow hair on your hands. Front and back."
He looked at me and just smiled like I was lying to him. He has those eyes that make you want to smile at anything. It was hard to fight the urge to laugh at my flat out lie. I wouldn't even look at Jeb.
"Nuh uh."
"True story. You keep it up and then the next thing you know there is going to be hair on your hands and everyone knows what hairy hands means. Think about it."
Needless to say, he hasn't been seen doing it since then.
Isn't there a rule that sometimes lying is o.k.?
