What a fun time to be alive. I have seen Hayley's commit, when I was little on my grandparent's ranch, in the wee hours of the morning. I survived Y2K, oh wait we all did. I am alive at a time when technology is rapidly bettering our lives (mostly) and today, I get to see and experience a cool play with numbers.
On this eleventh day, of the eleventh month, of the eleventh year in this century, I am thankful for so much. And this week is no exception. Here are a few of the things on my mind with a great heart of gratitude:
- I am thankful that my husband right when I need a little sweet note to get me through the day.
- I am thankful for Gavin, and how cool and fun he is to hang out with one on one. We spent last night reading the Far Side. And of course laughing our little heads off. It was a great moment. I love that boy. We are friends and always will be.
- I am thankful for Max, he has such a big heart and is also a great one to hang out with one on one. I love his free spirit, the fact the he sings anytime, anywhere, and he is such a great helper.
- I am thankful for Owen, because Owen just makes me smile by being him. He is so sweet and growing up so fast. He is so smart, a great reader. My favorite thing about Owen is his ability to draw out any sentence and make you hang onto every word until he finishes his thought. It's down right hilarious.
- I am thankful for Jack, because Jack tossed his "monkey" around the front room and yelled it at the top of his lungs. Reminded us of Max in his monkey tossing days. I also love that everything, and I mean everything he does is cute and makes me laugh. Right down to the part where when he senses I am a little terse, he will yell, "Mommy, I love you!"
- I am thankful that when I went running the other day, it started out cold, and then got hot, so I placed my gloves inside the butt part of my pants. Then I forgot and went to help at Owen's school and was oblivious to my lumpy rear until I got home and changed.
- I am thankful for a lunch date with my dear friend yesterday. Kayla, it was awesome and so needed.
- I am thankful for this day of remembrance of our brave people in the armed forces and the Veteran's whom have paid such a high price for our freedom. I feel so much pride when I see a line of American flags. I kind of just want to wrap myself up in them and say a silent prayer of gratitude that I live right now, that brave men and women made this possible, that I live in this great nation, and that I am rich with a great family and beloved friends.
